Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre
Situated on the N59 between Mulranny and Bangor-Erris, Ballycroy National Park Visitor Centre is located in the village of Ballycroy in North-West Co. Mayo on the western edge of Ireland’s sixth and most recently designated national park and Ireland’s only International Dark Sky Park. This state of the art facility open between the months of March to October (10:00-17:30) houses an exhibition free to the public where one can learn about the ecology of the national park, but also the history, culture and folklore of the area. An education facility is also located within the centre and you can also avail of a short stroll on Tóchar Daithí Bán. Ginger and Wild café equipped with free WiFi (10:00-17:00) is ideally located within the visitor centre also for those who are interested in sitting down to enjoy something to eat and/or drink whilst enjoying the magnificent views.
