The Space Week Ireland team are thrilled to announce the winners of the Space Week Astrophotography Competition hosted by Astrophotography Club Ireland and sponsored by Ktec
The Space Week team want to express our thanks to all the members of Astrophotography Club Ireland who took part in this competition. We have been overwhelmed by the volume and quality of entries and we’re so thrilled to see that the astrophotography community in Ireland continues to grow so enthusiastically.
We wish to thank Ktec Telescopes for their generous prize for the overall winner. Beyond sponsoring this prize, Ktec are constantly supporting aspiring astronomers throughout Ireland with advice and encouragement. We’re immensely grateful for their support in this competition and beyond.
A word of thanks also for our judges. Selecting a winner from the plethora of incredible images submitted was an incredibly difficult task. We very much appreciate them giving their time and consideration.
Finally, we just want to reiterate our thanks to everyone who participated. Quite apart from contributing to the success of the event, we feel genuinely privileged to view each and every photographer’s work. The wonderful thing about the night sky is that it is shared by us all, and yet we each have a unique perspective on it. To see deep sky objects, our nearest neighbours in the solar system, and even the Irish landscape, through your unique perspective was a wonderful experience. Thank you for sharing it with us.
