UCC and Blackrock Castle Observatory are off to the European Space Agency’s ESRIN facility in Rome! There, Rory Scarrott, an Earth Observation researcher in the SFI MaREI centre, will highlight Ireland’s endeavors to expand society’s understanding of Climate Change, using space-derived data and visualisation tools from ESA.

Flying the flag of Irish public outreach and Education,  Rory will be presenting to the ESA Climate Change Initiative teams of senior researchers, highlighting how Ireland is building on their work to inform folks about Climate Change, its impacts on our lives, and the vast potential European research can bring to bear in reducing these impacts and adapting to the new normal.

Rory will be blogging for the whole trip via his Twitter feed @RoryScarrott.
