Join Dr. Niamh Shaw from Blackrock Castle Observatory for a Space Week inspired workshop! Recently voted one of Ireland’s leading science communicators and STEAM specialists (merging science, technology, engineering, arts and maths), Niamh’s contribution to science and its application to Irish life was acknowledged by Uachtaráin na hÉireann, President Michael D. Higgins!
Dylan Carroll from Arralis will join Niamh in the afternoon and present to secondary school students. Dylan is a Mechanical Design Engineer with this Limerick based company and works closely with the European Space Agency.
Dylan and has just completed a Masters in Space Science and Technology in UCD and also has a Mechanical Engineering Degree from UL. Hear about his fascinating career journey and how working in the Space sector is a life less ordinary!
