Inspired by Space – 2nd-3rd classes

Join Dr. Niamh Shaw and Stargazer Lottie for a science based workshop created to ignite a love of STEM. The workshop teaches children about astronomy in a fun and engaging way, through presentation, storytelling and drama. Beginning with a talk about Space, the scale of the Universe and our part it in and Dreaming Big, this drama art workshop inspires the students to know that they can be anything they want to be.

Inspired by Lottie and Niamh’s dream to go to Space, participating students will be asked to ‘Dream Big’ and imagine what it is they want to be when they grow up. Using positive role models like Lottie we have an opportunity to embed in children at an early age, that they are the masters of their own destiny and have the capacity to achieve their dreams.

My Place in Space 2nd-5th classes

Exploring the story of our place in space, Dr Niamh Shaw merges astrophysics with particle physics in a highly interactive event. You are sure to learn at least one new thing about where you are in space. My Place in Space brings new and engaging ways of communicating science and space themes.
